The Remote Control

Handbook

What does it do?

The Remote Control is a simple accessory for your existing
Terrier i-Temp Programmable Radiator Control (PRC).

The Remote Control is used to perform two types of
operation:

• Increase or decrease the temperature relative to the
  current i-Temp Set Temperature (±).
• Switching between the predefined i-Temp setback ( ) and
  comfort temperatures (  ).

The remote control also houses its own temperature sensor
and can detect and display the current ambient temperature.

How does it work?

The Remote Control must be “taught in” to the Terrier i-Temp
before the Terrier i-Temp is able to accept commands from
it. Teaching in the Remote Control should take no more than
30 seconds.

The Remote Control is a radio transmitter that is used to
send commands directly to your Terrier i-Temp.

Receiving this information, the Terrier i-Temp reacts to the
command and alters the heat output from the radiator.

The Terrier i-Temp PRC is capable of having up to four
different accessories simultaneously “taught-in”.

One Remote Control is capable of being “taught in” to
several Terrier i-Temp’s.

Technical Information

Information on radio operation

Radio transmission is performed on a non-exclusive
transmission path. Which means that there is a low
possibility of interference occurring.

The range of transmission within buildings can vary greatly
from “open air” distances. As well as the transmitting
power and reception characteristics of the devices;
environmental influences such as humidity and obscuring
structures can also weaken the strength of the signal.

Teaching out the Remote Control from your Terrier

i-Temp

To indicate that the Terrier i-Temp has successfully “taught
out” the accessory, the display returns back to the normal
view.

Note:

All accessories will be “taught out” when using this

function.
