1. Introduc on
Tejovat DP1000 is a smart video doorbell which provides 720P HD quality pictures and videos of
visitor’s on the connected smartphones. The DP1000 gets connected to your home network
easily through either Wi-Fi, with the help of Smartlink interface or wired Ethernet connec on.
With ‘Smart Home Cloud’ smartphone app, DP1000 provides user an easy way to have video
conversa on with the visitors along with controlling the door lock ideally from anywhere. The
DP1000 provides an alert like phone call on the user’s smartphone when the visitor presses the
video doorbell’s call bu on. The DP1000’s smart camera monitors all the ac vi es in front of
your door which can record photos or videos of the mo on detec on during day and night with
the help of PIR and night sensors. User can monitor all the ac vi es any me with the help of
their smartphones or configure the doorbell for recording these ac vi es on the micro SD card.
With the help of email push op on, user can have emails of the photo a ached to it when
there is a mo on detec on in front of your door.

3. Before Using the Device DP1000
Before using the device D 1000, please read the following points carefully.

• If the product is found cracked, deformed or has other anomalies when the package is
received, please stop using it immediately and contact the seller or manufacturer.
• Don’t place the product in the fire, water, high temperature (<60 °C) or low temperature
(>20 °C) environment.
• Don’t disassemble or modify the product to avoid damage to yourself or the product.
• Use a dry and so cloth to clean the surface, don’t use chemicals, soap or detergent.
• If the product is damaged as a result of breach of the warnings above, we will not bear any
legal responsibility.
• Please read warranty terms and condi ons for further details about the warranty.

4. Overview of Smart Video Doorbell DP1000
4.1 Front Panel

4.3 Main Features
The major features of the smart video doorbell DP1000 device are as below:
1. Support both Android and iOS opera ng system.
2. No ma er where you are, you could answer your visitors call, control the lock, see the
circumstances in front of the door at any me via mobile apps.
3. With the func on of infrared vision, the device can also provide photos and videos during
the night me.
4. With the func on of mo on detec on, the device can take the photos whenever anything
unusual happens in front of the door.
5. The smart video doorbell is IP 54 water resistant.
6. Several smartphones (up to five users) could connect with one doorbell at the same me.

5. Range Test
1. For longer range applica ons, check if the router is or can be located at the front of the
building, preferably near a window or glass as this will greatly extend the range.
2. If it is not possible to have the Wi-Fi router at the front of the building, consider installing a
standard “on the market” Wi-Fi repeater or range extender. These can be purchased as a
plug in device and are sold in DIY and consumer electronics stores.
3. For even greater range, you can alterna vely connect home plug power line adapters to the
LAN socket on the device and on the home router.

6. Power Supply
If possible, locate the power supply as close as to the doorbell.
Note:
Most technical calls received are due to installers using CAT5 or alarm cable to power
the doorbell. Neither are rated to carry enough power (1.5-amp peak). Please use following
cable sizes…
• Up to 2 meters (6 feet) – Minimum 0.5mm2 (20 gauge)
• Up to 4 meters (12 feet) – Minimum 1mm2 (16 gauge)
• Up to 8 meters (12 feet) – Minimum 1.5mm2 (14 gauge)
7. Installa on Guidelines
Following guidelines can be adopted to install the DP1000 doorbell assuming sa sfactory
opera on of the doorbell at full Wi-Fi range at desired loca on:
• Mount the doorbell at the desired height for pedestrian or car users. The camera angle is
wide at 140 degrees to cover most scenarios.

• Make sure the availability of electric connec on for power adapter behind the wall where
you want to fit the doorbell.
• On stucco, brick or concrete, use the drill bit to drill two holes to install the doorbell as well
as one large whole for its power supply in the wall.
• If you’re installing on wood or siding you can directly screws with the help of screwdriver.
S ll you will require large hole for power supply.
• Remove the rain shield out of your doorbell to access the moun ng holes and install the
screws as shown in figure 1 below.
• Make connec ons for the power adapter with the help of power connector to the doorbell.
• Make door lock connec ons as per the instruc ons given in the sec on “Lock Control
Wiring”.
• Fit the doorbell device in the rain shield with the help of two snap joints as shown in the
figure 3 below.
• Tighten the screws as shown in the figure 3 below.

8. Lock Control Wiring
Figure below shows the loca on and the Pin connec ons for door lock.
Electronic lock pin connec on instruc ons are as below:
1. For normally open (NO) electromagne c locks, connect J1 ① and ② (The ② is for the
public GND).
2. For normally closed (NC) electromagne c locks, connect J1 ③ and ② (The ② is for the
public GND).
3. For normally open (NO) door unlock bu on or alarm input device, connect J1 ④ and ⑤.

9. One Key to Call
When visitor press the doorbell’s call bu on, smartphone user receives ring on his/her
smartphone. User can decide to answer it or hang up. Please note that Smart Home Cloud
applica on need to be installed on the mobile through either Google Play store or Apple App
store. Also user need to register, login and connect to doorbell either through the Wi-Fi or
Ethernet. A er that applica on need to be running in order to receive the ring.
③ A er answering, you can have video call with the visitor, take photos, open the door etc.
Note:
Because of restric ons by Apple, your iphone will receive no fica on message first. If
your screen is locked, you must swipe the no fica on banner, then unlock the screen.

10. Indoor Chime
10.1 General Features
• A er pressing smart video doorbell’s call bu on, smartphone and indoor chime
rings simultaneously.
• Smart video doorbell and indoor chime uses 433
MHz frequency for their connec on, no need of wiring.
• Indoor chime operates on DC power (3 x 1.5V AAA
ba eries).
• Open distance of transmission between smart video
doorbell and indoor chime is 300 meters.
• Smart video doorbell and indoor chime are using 433
MHz to learn the code. One smart video doorbell can
connect to maximum 8 indoor chimes. And an indoor
chime can connect to maximum 8 smart video doorbells
using 433 MHz.
• Smart video doorbell chime has been paired before
shipping.
• ① is Volume adjust and ② is Ring tone switch
(built-in 52 ring tones can be selected with this).

10.2 Code Opera on
1. Switch ON power to the smart video doorbell and indoor chime.
2. Long press indoor chime ① volume bu on.
3. A er 5 seconds, indoor chime will quickly flash it’s light and now it’s status under code.
4. Press smart video doorbell’s call bu on and indoor chime will stop flashing it’s light.
This means code change is successful.
5. To change the ringtone, select bu on ② of indoor chime. Every press of this bu on will
change the ring tone. Select desired ringtone and then follow step 2 and 3 above.

11.1 Download and Install the Applica on
• Please search the
“Smart Home Cloud”
on Google Play store for the Android based
smartphones and on App Store for the iphones. Look for the icon as shown below in the
middle.
• User can also scan the QR code below to download and install the app.

11.2 iOS Configura on
11.2.1 Register and Login into Applica on
• Once applica on is installed properly, open applica on and register for a new user as per
onscreen instruc ons.

by email or Register by phone.

④ Enter username and password
and press “Login” bu on.

• A er successful registra on, login into the applica on.
Note:
Each user has a unique username/user ID and password. The username is a phone
number/ email id or user ID created during successful registra on.
• Follow either Smartlink se ngs or Manual Add se ngs depending upon the case.
11.2.2 iOS Smartlink Se ngs
Note:
Select Smartlink op on to add device for either first me or if the device is in the
factory reset mode.
Follow steps below to add the device using Smartlink op on:
1. Power on the smart video doorbell and wait for beep sound.
2. Open and login into the Smart Home Cloud Applica on to do the Wi-Fi se ngs.
Notes:
a) Ensure the Wi-Fi network that you are going to set can connect to the smartphone or iPad
normally.
b) Make sure to add doorbell using Smartlink within 5 minutes or ll doorbell produces beep
sound otherwise restart (power cycle) the doorbell again.
3. When doorbell starts and produces beep sound then click “+” bu on to add the new device
and follow the steps as per below screen shots.
③ Enter Wi-Fi password and click Next.

Note:
When doorbell gets connected to the router, Connec on Successful message appears
in the applica on screen and doorbell produces big beep sound.
11.2.3 Adding Device using Manual Add Op on
Notes:
a) If you add smart video doorbell for the second or subsequent users, select manual
add op on.
b) When you use RJ45 cable to connect to the doorbell, choose Manual Add op on only.
The following screen shot shows how to add device using Manual Add op on.

11.2.4 Refresh and Remove Device
The following screen shot shows how to refresh and remove doorbell.
11.3 Android Configura on
11.3.1 Register and Login into Applica on
• Once applica on installed properly, open applica on and register for a new user as per
onscreen instruc ons.

11.3.2 Android Smartlink Se ngs
Note:
Select Smartlink op on to add device for either first me or if the device is in the

Follow steps below to add the device using Smartlink op on:
1. Power on the smart video doorbell and wait for beep sound.
2. Open and login into the Smart Home Cloud Applica on to do the Wi-Fi se ngs.

11.3.3 Adding Device using Manual Add Op on
Notes:
a) If you add smart video doorbell for the second or subsequent users, select manual add
op on.
b) When you use RJ45 cable to connect to the door bell, choose Manual Add op on only.
The following screen shot shows how to add device using Manual Add op on.

12. Alarms
12.1 Alarm Informa on
Following se ngs are present in the device for alarm:
• Receive Alarm Message:
Default is ON. If it is OFF, you will not receive visitors call and
alarm. If turned ON, user ID gets added into push ID list and you receive call or alarm.
• Alarm push ID:
Contains maximum 5 user ID in the list.
• Alarm push Email:
User can bind email with the applica on for ge ng alarm no fica on
email with photo a ached to it, when there is a mo on detec on in front of your door.
• Mo on Detec on:
Default is OFF. When turned ON, if there is movement, device will send
alarm no fica on to your mobile, if Receive Alarm is ON. If there is mo on detec on,
device will take picture automa cally and send to the set email.
• Buzzer:
Default is OFF. If it is turned ON, device will itself sound an alarm (hooter) on
mo on or PIR detec on.
• PIR Detec on:
Default is OFF. If it is turned ON, device capture early-warming is more
sensi ve and accurate.
12.2 Alarm Se ngs
Following screen shot shows how to set alarm on either mo on or PIR detec on.
Note:
If there are five user ID’s bounded with the account, you need to delete one of the user
ID to add new user for receiving alarm.

• Playback:
Plays the Micro SD card recordings
(Videos).
• Edit:
Edits doorbell name and its password.
• Se ngs:
This icon shows the device se ng.
• Device:
Displays the doorbell list.
• Message:
Shows visitors recorded alarm
messages.
• Images:
Shows the captured snapshots or
pictures.
• More:
This icon shows more se ngs related
to system or user account se ngs.
13.2 System Se ngs
Following figure shows the system and user account
features of the Smart Home Cloud App a er going into

• My Account:
Checks account related informa on and
modify App log in and password.
• Se ngs:
Enable/Disable alarm, set ringtone or
vibrator (For Android only).
• Update:
Checks App version.

Log out from current account.

14. Other Se ngs
Following screen shot shows the list of door bells and its se ngs.
1. Device Info:
Shows the current device firmware informa on.
2. Date and Time:
Sets device date and me, default is network synchroniza on me.
3. Media Se ngs:
Reverses image, adjust volume and set video format (PAL/NTSC).
4. Security Se ngs:
User can modify the password of doorbell and sets password for guest
user.
5. Network Se ngs:
To switch between Ethernet and Wi-Fi connec on, shows Wi-Fi se ngs.
6. Alarm Se ngs:
Sets alarm no fica on, email binding, mo on detec on, buzzer and PIR
detec on.
7. Record Se ngs:
Select recording method. Select Manual, Alarm or Scheduled recording.
Note:
Make sure that micro SD card is installed properly.
8. Defense Area Se ngs:
Not supported.
9. Storage Se ngs:
Checks Micro SD card informa on. Check space and forma ng.
10.Device Update:
Checks firmware update.
Note:

16. FAQ’s
1. Didn’t hear “beep, beep...” a er power on? Or How to reset Doorbell?
Answer:
Users can use the elongated object (for example: toothpick small screwdriver)
extending into the reset hole. Hold down the reset bu on for 3 to 5 seconds un l doorbell
produces big beep sound, the doorbell will automa cally restart and restore the factory se ngs
within 2 minutes.
2. When visitor calls, only vibrate, no sound?
Answer:
On device list screen, at right bo om, click More, select System Se ng and change
alarm ring (for android).
3. Can’t receive calls and alarm?
Answer:
Select alarm se ngs of doorbell and check whether your user ID has been in the list or
not. Also, you will not receive a call when a lock icon is open, and receive alarm se ngs are
disabled.
4. How to delete alarm ID?
Answer:
Select alarm se ng and delete alarm push ID from list.
5. How to configure doorbell with “Smart Home Cloud” applica on?
Answer:
Following steps need to follow during doorbell configura on with applica on.
Step 1:
If you configure doorbell for the first me, use “Smartlink” op on.
Step 2:
If you are configuring doorbell for second and subsequent users then use “Manual add”
op on. When you select manual add op on, please remember that device should be
configured with at least one user through Smartlink.

6. How to download recorded Video?
Answer:
Detach SD card from door bell and copy the video from it.
7. How to recover the device Admin password?
Answer:
If you missed the device Admin password then reset the doorbell. Please note that all
your previous se ngs will be reset to factory default mode.
8. An Error occurs while adding device using Smartlink, what I need to do?
Answer:
Smartlink is mainly used for first me connec on with doorbell or when doorbell is in
factory reset mode. If doorbell is already added to any one of the user then use manual add
op on for adding device.
9. Volume is too low on my smartphone.
Answer:
Try increasing smartphone volume to maximum. Also check the call point (Doorbell)
loca on is at appropriate height for someone to speak directly into the device microphone.
10. When we enable receive alarm message op on, it shows no fica on “Alarm receive accounts
has reached maximum”.
Answer:
When the applica on shows no fica on “Alarm receive accounts has reached
maximum”, select op on Alarm push id from Alarm Se ngs and delete anyone user id from the
list. Now when you enable receive alarm message, your user id gets added into the Alarm push
id.
11. How to set date and me?
Answer:
Select date and me se ng of doorbell and check UTC me and apply correct me
according to your me zone. By default, network synchroniza on me is set.
12. Doorbell device can’t connect with mobile app, what I need to do?
Answer:
Please enter correct doorbell device ID and password and also check your Wi-Fi router.
Please note that door bell supports Wi-Fi router having standard IEEE 802.11 b/g/n with 2.4
GHz band.

17. WARRANTY CONDITIONS

Pvt. Ltd.
(“Tejovat”) warrants to the purchaser (the “Customer”) each of
its Tejovat branded smart home products (the “Equipment”) sold by Tejovat through its
authorized distributors, online and direct sale that the products are to be free from defects in
workmanship and material under normal use commencing from the date of purchase and
services as given below:
a) One (1) Year for smart home device.
b) Six (6) months warranty on charger and any other accessories (except dry cells/ba eries)
provided with the device pack by the company.
The customer needs to bring the Equipment together with all detachable parts and charger to a
Tejovat authorized service provider at their own cost in order to obtain warranty service. It
must be delivered to the authorized service provider along with the receipt bearing the serial
number, date of purchase and the duly filled and stamped warranty card.
GENERAL PROVISIONS
1. The warranty sets forth Tejovat responsibility regarding the product repair or replacement at
Tejovat op on is the customer exclusive remedy. The replaced Parts, Boards or Equipment
will be warranted for the balance of the original warranty period.
2. Replacement chargers are warranted only for the remaining unexpired warranty period of
the original charger.
3. This warranty becomes void if: (a) The devices are powered by other than Tejovat approved
chargers for the charging of the device, (b) Any of the seals on the device/charger’s
enclosure are broken or shown evidence of tampering, (c) The charger is used in Equipment
or service other than for which it is specified.
4. The warranty is issued at Pune, India and Courts at Pune shall have exclusive jurisdic on over
ma ers covered or flowing from this warranty.
5. Repairs during warranty period shall be on “Carry in” basis, wherein for service the customer
shall bring the products to the Service Center. The warranty does not cover cost of
transporta on of systems/product from place of installa on to the Service Center.
LIMITATIONS OF WARRANTY COVERAGE
The following example are not covered under Warranty if
• Defects or damage resul ng from use of the Equipment in other than its normal customary
manner.
• Defects or damage resul ng from misuse, accident or neglect.
• Defects or damage from improper tes ng, opera on, maintenance, installa on, altera on,
modifica on or adjustment.
• Equipment disassembled or repaired in such a manner as to adversely affects performance.
• Defect or damage due to spill of food or liquids.
• All plas cs surface and all other exposed parts that are scratched or damaged due to
customer normal use.
• Products rented out.
• Transfer of ownership has taken place.
• Products that have had the serial number removed, altered or are illegible and no proof of
purchase is provided.
• Opera on or damage caused by unauthorized ancillary equipment use with the product.
• Non-service personal opening the product without permission of Tejovat.
