1. Product introduction
Thank you for your purchasing our product ARTNET NODE.
To optimize the performance of this product, please read
these operating instructions carefully to familiarize yourself
with the basic knowledge of DMX. Before use this product,
please backup them in your computer, then simply connect
the LAN-cable(RJ 45) between your ARTNET NODE and your
computer, then you’re ready to go!
2. Notice Information
•
When unpacking, please check the unit is not damaged.
lf something wrong happens to this product, contact the
local dealer immediately.
•
All rights reserved. No part of this manual included with
this product can be reproduced or transmitted in any
form, by any means or for any purpose without autho-
rized permission.
3. Warnings!
•
DO NOT make any inflammable liquids, water or metal
objects enter the unit.
•
Should any liquid be spilled on the unit, DISCONNECT
the power immediately.
•
STOP using the unit immediately in the event of serious
operation problems and contact with your local dealer
for a check or contact us directly.
•
DO NOT open the unit--there are no user serviceable
parts inside.
•
NEVER try to repair the unit by yourself. Repairs by un-
qualified people could cause damage or faulty opera-
tion.
•
After having removed the packaging, please check that
the unit is NOT damaged in any way. If in doubt, DON’T
use it and contact an authorized dealer.
•
Packaging material (plastic bags, polystyrene foam,
nails, etc.) MUST NOT be left within children’s reach, as
it can be dangerous.
•
This unit must only be operated by adults. DO NOT allow
children to tamper or play with it.
•
NEVER use the unit under the following conditions:
•
In places subject to excessive humidity.
•
In places subject to vibrations or bumps.
•
In places with a temperature of over 45ºc/113 F or less
than 2ºc/35.6 F.
•
Protect the unit from excessive dryness or humidity (ide-
al conditions are between 35% and 80%).
•
DO NOT dismantle or modify the unit privately.

5. Menu Instructions
5.1 Rename
Enter into the main menu by press UP/DOWN button, then
pressing the button to choose the
Rename option and then
press the ENTER button to confirm your selection. Now you
can rename the device by pressing UP and DOWN . Confirm
you change and move to next option by press the ENTER.
5.2 Set DHCP
Enter into the main menu by press UP/DOWN button, then
pressing the button to choose the
Set DHCP option and then
press the ENTER button to confirm your selection. Now you
can turn on or turn off the DHCP function by pressing UP
and DOWN. Confirm you change and move to next option by
press the ENTER.
5.3 Set IP Address
Enter into the main menu by press MENU button, then press-
ing UP / DOWN to choose the
Set IP Address option and then
press the ENTER to confirm your selection. Now you can set

P address by pressing UP and DOWN . Confirm you change
and move to next option by press the ENTER and UP/DOWN.
5.4 Set Netmask
Enter into the main menu by press MENU button, then press-
ing UP / DOWN to choose the
Netmask option and then press
the ENTER to confirm your selection. Now you can set
Net-
mask by pressing UP and DOWN . Confirm you change and
move to next option by pressing the ENTER and UP/DOWN.
5.5 Set DMX port
Enter into the main menu by press MENU button, then
pressing UP / DOWN to choose the
DMX port X option and
then press the ENTER to confirm your selection. Then you
can set the parameter of the each port by pressing the EN-
TER and UP/DOWN.
Please note: Each of the IP address should be unique.

5.6 Set Device ID
Enter into the main menu by press MENU button, then press-
ing UP / DOWN to choose the
Set Device ID option, then press
the ENTER to confirm your selection. Press the ID No. (for ex-
ample: 001) and press the ENTER to enter and press UP and
DOWN to choose the ID No. for the unit from 000 to 255. The
ID is only used to recognize each of the unit easily.
5.7 Set LCD Backlight
Enter into the main menu by press MENU button, then press-
ing UP / DOWN to choose the
Set LCD Backlight option and
then press the ENTER to confirm your selection. You can
choose its status as ON/OFF. “ON” means the
LCD backlight
will turn on all the time. “OFF” means the LCD backlight will
turn off automatically after idle 30 seconds.
5.8 Set Display
Enter into the main menu by press MENU button, then press-
ing UP / DOWN to choose the
Set Display option and then
press the ENTER to confirm your selection. If you choose In-
version, the words will display inversely.
5.9 User Preset
Enter into the main menu by press MENU button, then press-
ing UP / DOWN to choose the
User Preset option and then
press the ENTER to confirm your selection. This setting help
you easily use the application avoid complicated setup pro-
cedure. You can simply choose you desired mode by pressing
UP and DOWN.
1) 8 x Input: Make the 8 DMX port as Input status.
2) DMX Split 1-7: This setting will help you make the unit
as one splitter which with one DMX input to 7 DMX output.
Please note that the LED indicator of the DMX Output port
will light up in green.
3) DMX Split 1-3: This setting will help you make the unit
as one splitter which with one DMX input to 3 DMX output.
Please note that the LED indicator of the DMX Output port
will light up in green.
4) DMX Clone: Direct through mode, the preset is used to
replicate a standard DMX signal from 4 (1-4) Input ports to
4(5-8) output ports.
45 Isolated Mode: Set eight ports as output.
5.10 Set Default
All of the setting including the device name, device ID as well
as device IP will be restored to the original status.
5.11 Version
You can check the version number from this option.
6. Port Status
Under the standby status mode, you can press UP/DOWN to
move onto the
Port Status display page. Here you can see
the status of every port. Please check the below chart for de-
tails.

1. Introducción
Gracias por haber elegido el producto Navigator Node 8. Lea
atentamente el manual antes de utilizarlo para optimizar su
funcionamiento y para familiarizarse con los conceptos bási-
cos de DMX. Procure realizar una copia de seguridad en su
computadora. Luego, conecte un extremo del cable LAN (RJ
45) a su computadora y el otro al nodo ARTnet y estará listo
para comenzar.
2. Información importante
•
Abra el embalaje con cuidado y revise que el equipo se
encuentre en buen estado. En caso de recibirlo dañado,
contacte al fabricante de inmediato.
•
Todos los derechos reservados. Queda prohibida la
reproducción parcial o total de este manual sin autor-
ización previa.
3. ADVERTENCIAS
•
Evite que líquidos o materiales inflamables entren en
contacto con el equipo.
•
En caso de que algún líquido se derrame sobre el equipo,
desconéctelo inmediatamente.
•
En caso de desperfecto o funcionamiento anómalo, de-
sconecte el equipo y póngase en contacto el fabricante o
con servicio técnico calificado.
•
Evite desarmar el equipo. En su interior, no hay piezas
que puedan ser reparadas por el usuario.
•
Bajo ninguna circunstancia intente reparar el equipo por
su cuenta. Las reparaciones realizadas por personas no
calificadas pueden dañar el equipo de forma permanente.
•
Luego de abrir el embalaje, revise que el equipo se en-
cuentre en buen estado. En caso de duda, no lo utilice y
contacte al fabricante inmediatamente.
•
Mantenga el material de embalaje (bolsas de plástico,
polietileno, etc.) fuera del alcance de los niños.
•
El equipo sólo debe ser utilizado por adultos. No permita
que los niños jueguen con el equipo o lo manipulen.
•
No utilice el equipo en las siguientes condiciones:
•
En lugares con humedad excesiva.
•
En lugares propensos a las vibraciones o sacudidas.
•
En lugares cuya temperatura sea superior a 45°C/113°F o
menor a 2°C/35.6°F.
•
Proteja el equipo de la humedad excesiva. Los valores de
humedad aceptable se encuentran entre 35%-80%.
• No realice modificaciones sobre el equipo de manera
particular.
4. Características del producto

5. Instrucciones del menú
5.1 Renombrar
Presione las teclas UP/DOWN para ingresar al menú. Con
las mismas teclas, desplácese hasta visualizar la opción
Re-
name y presione ENTER para acceder. Ahora puede cambiar
el nombre del equipo presionando UP/DOWN. Oprima ENTER
para confirmar los cambios.
5.2 Configuración del servidor DHCP
Presione las teclas UP/DOWN para ingresar al menú. Con
las mismas teclas, desplácese hasta visualizar la opción
Set
DHCP y presione ENTER para acceder. Encienda o apague la
función DHCP con las teclas UP/DOWN. Oprima ENTER para
confirmar los cambios.
5.3 Configuración de la dirección de IP
Presione la tecla MENU, luego desplácese con las teclas UP/
DOWN hasta visualizar la opción
Set IP Address y presione
ENTER para acceder. Configure la dirección de IP con las te-
clas UP/DOWN. Oprima ENTER para confirmar los cambios.
5.4 Configuración de la máscara de red
Presione la tecla MENU, luego desplácese con las teclas UP/
DOWN hasta visualizar la opción
Netmask y presione ENTER
para acceder. Configure la máscara de red con las teclas UP/
DOWN. Oprima ENTER para confirmar los cambios.
5.5 Configuración de puerto DMX
Presione la tecla MENU, luego desplácese con las teclas UP/
DOWN hasta visualizar la opción
DMX port X y presione EN-
TER para acceder. Establezca los parámetros deseados para
cada puerto con la tecla ENTER primero y después UP/DOWN.
Observación: Toda dirección de IP ingresada debe ser única.

Alterna entre el sistema decimal y hexadecimal.
DMX Status
Entrada y salida DMX desactivadas.
DMX Mode
Entrada normal.
Entrada de respaldo.
Data-out de un universo.
Data-out HTP de dos universos.

5.6 Configuración de la identificación
del equipo
Presione la tecla MENU, luego desplácese con las teclas UP/
DOWN hasta visualizar la opción
Set Device ID y presione
ENTER para acceder. Seleccione el número de identificación
(por ejemplo: 001) con la tecla ENTER y utilice las teclas UP/
DOWN para elegir un número de identificación (entre 000 y
255). La identificación del equipo solo se emplea para recon-
ocer cada unidad más fácilmente.
5.7 Configuración de la retroalimentación
de la pantalla LCD
Presione la tecla MENU, luego desplácese con las teclas UP/
DOWN hasta visualizar la opción
Set LCD Backlight y presi-
one ENTER para acceder. Puede elegir entre las opción ON/
OFF. ON mantendrá la pantalla encendida constantemente,
mientras que OFF hará que la pantalla se apague automáti-
camente luego de 30 segundos.
5.8 Configuración del sentido de
la pantalla.
Presione la tecla MENU, luego desplácese con las teclas UP/
DOWN hasta visualizar la opción
Set LCD Backlight y presi-
one ENTER para acceder. Seleccione la opción Inversion para
invertir la pantalla.
5.9 Configuración del usuario
Presione la tecla MENU, luego desplácese con las teclas UP/
DOWN hasta visualizar la opción
User Preset y presione EN-
TER para acceder. Este ajuste facilita el uso de la aplicación y
evita los procedimientos complejos. Seleccione el modo de-
seado con las teclas UP/DOWN.
1) 8 x Input: Cambia el estado del puerto DMX 8 a señal
de entrada.
2) DMX Split 1-7: Convierte una entrada DMX en siete salidas
DMX. El indicador led de la salida DMX se iluminará en color verde.
3) DMX Split 1-3: Convierte una entrada DMX en tres sali-
das DMX. El indicador led de la salida DMX se iluminará en
color verde.
4) DMX Clone: Replica la señal estándar DMX de 4 puertos de
entrada (1-4) a 4 puertos de salida (5-8).
5) Isolated Mode: Configura ocho puertos como salidas
aisladas.
5.10 Establecer valores por defecto
Esta opción restablece todos los ajustes predeterminados de
fábrica (nombre del equipo, IP, etc.).
5.11 Versión
Corrobora la versión actual.
6. Estado de los puertos
Dentro del modo standby status, presione las teclas UP/
DOWN para acceder a la pantalla de
Port Status. Con esta
opción podrá visualizar el estado actual de cada puerto. Lea
atentamente la siguiente tabla para mayor información.

√: cable de red conectado.

X: cable de red desconectado.
Si ambos símbolos titilan alternamente en el modo
DHCP, el equipo está identificando la dirección de IP o
no hay dirección IP configurada.
Tercera línea
― : Ambos puertos DHCP están habilitados. De lo con-
trario, ambos puertos están en IP estática.
―
1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8
Segunda línea
√: DMX señal disponible.
Puertos DMX
√/x/―
X: sin señal DMX disponible.
―: desactivado.
Tercera línea
: DMX en función de entrada. De lo contrario, en función
de salida. Si la segunda y tercera línea se encuentran
vacías, la función DMX está desactivada.
