trouble-free use.
The Leupold Green Ring variable spotting scope is equipped with a twist-up
eyecup to allow for ease of use by a person with or without eyeglasses. To
adjust the eyecup for use while wearing eyeglasses, simply twist the eyecup
until it rests in its lowest position.
To extend the eyecup, simply place fingers around the edge of the eyecup and
twist it away from the spotting scope.
CHANGING MAGNIFICATION
Magnification levels of the Leupold Green Ring variable spotting scope can be
changed by rotating the magnification selector located in front of the eyepiece.

While viewing through the scope, turning the magnification selector clockwise
increases magnification, while turning it counterclockwise decreases magnification.
FOCUSING
TO FOCUS THE IMAGE OF THE LEUPOLD GREEN RING VARIABLE SPOTTING SCOPE:
1. Position the eyecup to best accommodate your comfort (or eyeglasses,
if necessary).
2. Adjust the magnification setting to the lowest power for easy
object location.
3. View the object you desire to observe through the spotting scope.
4. Adjust the magnification level as desired.
5. Turn the focus adjustment dial (located on the upper forward edge of the
“shoulder” of the scope) until the image of the object being viewed is
seen as crisp and sharp.
USING A TRIPOD
The Leupold Green Ring variable spotting scope is equipped with a 1/4 -20
thread tripod adapter that will accept the standard 1/4 -20 thread mounting
screw found on most photographic tripods.

MAINTENANCE
SEALS:
The Leupold Green Ring variable spotting scope is sealed from within by several
methods, including O-rings and special compounds. All seals are permanent and
require no maintenance.
LENSES:
Should the lenses of the scope become dirty, clean them as you would any fine
camera lens.
1. Use a lens brush to remove dust.
2. Fingerprints that cannot be removed by brushing can be removed with a
good grade of glass cleaner. When wiping the lens, use a soft cloth and
wipe from the center of the lens outward.
Leupold Green Ring optics are engineered and manufactured to standards set
and monitored by the design engineers at Leupold’s plant in Oregon. The goal
is to provide you with reliable performance at a reasonable price.
Should service ever become necessary, these spotting scopes are backed by the
Leupold Green Ring Limited Lifetime Warranty. All service work is performed by
the Leupold Product Service department in Beaverton, Oregon.

If your Leupold Green Ring spotting scope fails to perform in any way, you may
return them directly to the Leupold factory for service. It is not necessary for
your dealer to ship the spotting scope to Leupold; however, they can be very
helpful in determining if factory service is necessary.
PLEASE FOLLOW THESE SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Include a note with your name, address, telephone number, e-mail,
and a description of the problem.
2. Pack the spotting scope in its original box (if you have it) or another
suitably strong shipping box.
3. Wrap the package securely using filament strapping tape on the outside.
4. Ship the spotting scope by parcel or mail service (insured, if possible) to

Limited Lifetime Warranty
Leupold Green Ring non-electronic products are warranted for as long as
you own them. We warrant them to be free of defects in materials and
workmanship, and to function satisfactorily under normal use conditions.
All Leupold Green Ring binoculars and spotting scopes are waterproof;
however, all quality optics, if submerged, should always be retrieved as quickly
as possible.
If at any time a Leupold Green Ring product is found to have a defect in
materials or workmanship, Leupold will, at our discretion, repair or replace
it free of charge, when requested by the original owner.
The warranty is void if damage results from unauthorized repair, alteration,
or misuse. It is given solely to the original owner and is not transferable. To
activate the warranty, register the product on-line at www.leupold.com or
complete the enclosed warranty card and mail as addressed.
This is considered a Leupold Limited Lifetime Warranty, and should not be
confused with the Leupold Full Lifetime Guarantee, which covers Leupold
Golden Ring
®
products.

THE GREEN RING ELECTRONIC WARRANTY
Certain Green Ring products are equipped with electronic components. In those
products the electronic components are warranted for a full two years (one year
for the RX
™
-I and RX-II rangefinders), against all material and manufacturing
defects. This warranty is effective from the date of purchase of the product.

CHANGER LE GROSSISSEMENT

MISE AU POINT
POUR METTRE AU POINT L'IMAGE DE LA LUNETTE D'OBSERVATION VARIABLE LEUPOLD GREEN RING :
1. Mettez la coque latérale à la meilleure position pour votre confort (ou vos lunettes, si nécessaire).
2. Ajustez le réglage de grossissement à la puissance la plus basse pour trouver l'objet facilement.
3. Regardez l'objet que vous désirez observer à travers la lunette d'observation.
4. Ajustez le niveau de grossissement au besoin.
5. Tournez le cadran d'ajustement de mise au point (qui se trouve sur le bord avant supérieur de « l'épaule » de l'objectif) jusqu'à ce que l'objet soit bien
clair et précis.
ENTRETIEN
LENTILLES:
Si les lentilles de l'objectif se salissent, nettoyez-les comme tout autre objectif d'appareil photo.
1. Utilisez un pinceau à lentille pour retirer la poussière.
2. Les empreintes de doigts que vous ne pouvez pas retirer avec le pinceau se retire avec un nettoyant pour le verre de bonne qualité. Lorsque vous essuyez

EINSTELLEN DER VERGRÖSSERUNG
Die Vergrößerung des variablen Beobachtungsfernrohrs Leupold Green Ring kann durch Drehen an der Vergrößerungsauswahl vor dem Okular eingestellt
werden.
Während Sie durch das Fernrohr blicken, einfach im Uhrzeigersinn an der Vergrößerungsauswahl drehen, um zu vergrößern. Für die Verkleinerung drehen

FOKUSSIEREN
SO FOKUSSIEREN SIE MIT DEM VARIABLEN BEOBACHTUNGSFERNROHR LEUPOLD GREEN RING:
1. Positionieren Sie die Augenmuschel so, dass optimaler Sehkomfort gewährleistet ist (z. B. an Brille angepasst).
2. Stellen Sie die Vergrößerung auf die Minimalposition ein, um das Objekt einfach finden zu können.
3. Suchen Sie das gewünschte Objekt mit dem Beobachtungsfernrohr.
4. Stellen Sie die Vergrößerung dann wie gewünscht ein.
5. Drehen Sie an der Fokuseinstellung (an der oberen Vorderkante der „Schulter“ des Fernrohrs), bis das Bild des beobachteten Objekts scharf ist.
WARTUNG
LINSEN:
Verschmutzungen der Linsen des Fernrohrs können wie bei dem Objektiv einer Kamera vorsichtig entfernt werden.
1. Verwenden Sie einen Objektivpinsel, um Staub zu entfernen.
2. Mit dem Pinsel nicht entfernbare Fingerabdrücke können mit einem qualitativ hochwertigen Glasreiniger entfernt werden. Zum Abwischen der Linse
immer ein weiches Tuch verwenden und von der Linsenmitte nach außen wischen.

REGOLAZIONE DELL'INGRANDIMENTO

1. Posizionare l'oculare in modo che il cannocchiale risulti comodo per l'utente (specialmente se porta gli occhiali).
2. Fissare l'ingrandimento al minimo per individuare più facilmente gli oggetti.
3. Osservare un oggetto con il cannocchiale.
4. Regolare l'ingrandimento al livello desiderato.
5. Girare il selettore della messa a fuoco (situato sul bordo superiore anteriore della “spalla” del cannocchiale) fino a quando l'immagine dell'oggetto che
si sta osservando è vivida e chiara.
MANUTENZIONE
LENTI:
Le lenti del cannocchiale vanno pulite come quelle delle macchine fotografiche d'alta qualità.
1. Togliere eventuali tracce di polvere con uno spazzolino per obiettivi.
2. Le impronte delle dita che non si riuscisse a togliere con lo spazzolino vanno tolte con un buon detergente per vetri. Passare un panno morbido dal
centro della lente verso l'esterno.
