INSTALLATION STEPS

Œ

Install digital TV SIM card

Digital  TV  SIM  card  is  provided  by  your  local  operator  for 
watching  programs  of  encrypted  channels  and  accessing 
digital TV services.
The SIM card slot is on the right side of the receiver.
Insert  the  card  into  the  slot  horizontally  according  to  the 
shape of the card in the following diagram.

Notes:

Only FTA channels are available without the card.

Please remember your card number in case of queries.

Ÿ

Do not bend or damage the card.

Ÿ

Do  not  place  the  card  in  hot  environment  or  under 

Ÿ

direct sunlight.

Please use dry and soft cloth to clean the surface of the 

Ÿ

card gently. Do not put the card into liquid or cleaning 
agent.

If the card does not work properly, please contact your 

Ÿ

local operator.



Connect external remote control 

signal receiver

There is a remote control signal receiver on the rear panel of 
the  receiver.  If  installation  location  of  the  receiver  is  not 
convenient for your operation (e.g. behind TV), you can plug 
the  external  signal  receiver  into  IR  port  on  the  receiver  to 
receive signal. 

Note:

 

Suggest you install the remote control signal receiver 

in the central location along TV.

Connect USB device

Connect  USB  port  on  the  right  side  of  the  receiver  to  USB 
device with a USB cable.



Connect TV

Connect VIDEO/R-AUDIO/L-AUDIO  ports  on  the  receiver  to 
corresponding ports on TV with an AV cable.

Note: 

Make sure your TV is set to AV input mode.

Connect other equipment

Connect  R-AUDIO/L-AUDIO  ports  on  the  receiver  to 
corresponding  ports  on  audio  equipment  with  an  audio 
cable.
If  you  need  to  loop  output  RF  signal  to  another  receiver, 
please connect LOOP OUT port on the receiver to CABLE IN 
port on another receiver with an RF cable.

Connect other equipment

Connect  R-AUDIO/L-AUDIO  ports  on  the  receiver  to 
corresponding  ports  on  audio  equipment  with  an  audio 
cable.
If  you  need  to  loop  output  RF  signal  to  another  receiver, 
please connect LOOP OUT port on the receiver to CABLE IN 
port on another receiver with an RF cable.

MENU OPERATION GUIDE

Notes:

Please press 

MENU

 key to display main menu whenever you want to use menu system. In the main menu, select a sub-menu 

and press 

u

The default system lock password is “0000”, the default maturity rating password is “1234”, which you should remember after 

Ÿ

modification.

Shortcut  keys  are  more  useful  when  you  watch  programs,  and  their 

Ÿ

meanings are indicated on remote control unit.

1. Installation

Auto Search:

 You can search channels automatically without more operation.

Manual Search:

 You  can  search  channels  by  specifying  frequency  parameters 

and search mode.

Upgrade Software:

  Please  follow  instruction  displayed  on  screen  to  perform 

upgrade when you need it.

Notes:

If  you  are  not  sure  about  parameter  values,  you  can  search  channels 

Ÿ

according to defaults.

Do not turn off the receiver during searching and upgrading.

2. Manage Channel

Channel  Edit:

  You  can  lock  channels.  System  lock  password  is  required  to 

watch  programs  of  these  channels.  In  addition,  you  can  move  and  delete 
channels.

Favorite Channels:

 You can set favorite channels, so that you can easily select 

them in favorite channel list.

Channel  Information:

 You  can  view  detailed  information  of  current  channel, 

such as PIDs, signal level and quality, etc.

Schedule  Manage:

 All  the  scheduled  programs  are  displayed  in  this  window. 

You can cancel or restore schedules.

3. User Setup

System Lock:

 You can modify system lock password.

General Setting:

 You can view and modify menu opacity, time zone, etc.

AV Setting:

 You can view and modify TV mode, aspect mode, etc.

Language  Setting:

  You  can  view  and  modify  menu  language  and  audio 

language.

Factory  Default:

 This  function  will  restore  system  settings  to  factory  default 

and erase all channels. Please use this function carefully!

4. Information

CA Information:

 You can view information about CA (Conditional Access) and 

modify  CA  PIN  and  maturity  rating.  CA  PIN  is  required  to  view  programs 
beyond the set rating.

MailBox:

  You  can  view  all  the  mails  received  from  your  local  operator.  In 

addition, you can delete mails.

System  Information:

  You  can  view  information  of  the  receiver,  such  as 

hardware version, software version, etc.

Customer Care:

 You can view some information about your local operator.

5. PVR

File List:

 You can playback and edit (sort, reverse, delete, delete all) recorded 

files on USB device. In addition, you can rename files. 

Schedule:

  All  the  recording  schedules  are  displayed  in  this  window. You  can 

add, delete or edit schedules.

Note:

 

System will remind you near the airtime of the scheduled programs.

PVR Setting:

 You can view and modify recording parameters, such as PVR icon 

timeout and default recording duration.

HDD Format: 

You can format USB device, and all files will be deleted.

  key  to  display  channel  list  in  non-menu  mode.  You  can  browse 

channels  of  different  classes,  such  as  TV  ALL,  Radio  ALL,  etc.,  and  select  a 
channel to play in full screen.

EPG (Electronic Program Guide)

Press 

EPG

  key  to  display  EPG  in  non-menu  mode. You  can  browse  program 

information  in  a  week  and  schedule  to  play  future  programs. The  scheduled 
programs will be displayed in schedule manage window.

Note:

 

System will remind you near the airtime of the scheduled programs.

CAUTION!

If you cannot solve the problem after referring to above trouble shooting, please contact your local operator. To reduce the 
risk  of  electric  shock,  do  not  remove  the  cover.  Equipment  service  and  maintenance  should  be  undertaken  by  trained 
personnel.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

A. THE FRONT PANEL LIGHT IS OFF.

Make  sure  power  adapter  is  attached  to  the  unit  and

plugged into a live power outlet securely.

B. NO PICTURE.

Make sure video cable is connected correctly.

C. NO SOUND.

Make sure audio cable is connected correctly.

  key  to  resume  volume  if  the  unit  is  in  mute

mode.

 key to turn up volume if volume is set to

minimum.

Press 

AUDIO

 key to select proper audio language.

D. NO SOUND AND NO PICTURE.

Make sure AV cable is connected correctly.

Make sure your TV is set to correct AV input mode.

 key to switch to operation mode if the unit is in

standby mode.

E. PICTURE AND SOUND MISMATCHED.

Press 

AUDIO 

key to select proper audio language.

Ÿ

F. NO SIGNAL.

Make sure signal cable is connected correctly.

Ÿ

Program  parameters  are  set  wrongly.  Please  correct 

Ÿ

parameters.

G. PAUSE OR MOSAIC IMAGE.

Signal is too weak. Please connect signal cable securely.

Ÿ

H. PROGRAM CANNOT BE PLAYED.

SIM  card  is  inserted  incorrectly.  Insert  the  SIM  card 

Ÿ

correctly.

SIM card cannot decrypt this kind of program.

Ÿ

You have not subscribed to the selected channel. Please 

Ÿ

contact your local operator.

I. THE UNIT STOPS WORKING SUDDENLY.

Poor  ventilation,  or  heat-producing  object  or  device  is 

Ÿ

nearby. Put the unit in a cool and well-ventilated place.

J. REMOTE CONTROL FAILURE.

Make  sure  your  remote  control  unit  is  aimed  at  the 

Ÿ

remote control signal receiver. 

If  external  remote  control  signal  receiver  is  used,  make 

Ÿ

sure it is plugged into IR port on the receiver securely.

No  enough  power  in  batteries  of  remote  control  unit. 

Ÿ

Please replace batteries.
