It
is
good
practice
to
carry
out
the
above
checks
on
a
regular
basis,
ideally
each
time
you
ride
your
machine.
We
advise
an
oil
change
every
10
hours
of
use
after
the
initial
run
in
change.
Do
not
stamp
through
the
gears
–
always
use
the
clutch.
If
you
miss
a
gear
do
NOT
stamp
into
gear
from
high
engine
revs.
Do
not
over
rev
the
engine
as
you
may
cause
damage
to
the
valves
Do
not
drop
your
clutch
heavily,
or
slip
it
unnecessarily.

Ghostbikes
Warranty
Warranty
frequently
asked
questions...
When
does
my
warranty
start?
Your
warranty
starts
from
the
day
you
collect
or
take
delivery,
whether
the
machine
has
been
used
or
not.
What
warranty
do
I
get
with
my
new
machine?
You
get
a
an
initial
7
days
full
warranty,
in
which
time
all
bona
fide
warranty
issues
will
be
free
of
charge.
After
this
period
we
will
still
assist
with
problems
but
all
parts
and
service
work
will
be
chargeable.
Why
is
the
warranty
period
so
short?
Pit
Bikes
are
designed
for
light
off
‐
road
use,
preferably
in
the
dry
combined
with
a
level
of
ongoing
maintenance.
Unfortunately
most
machines
are
used
in
any
weather
conditions
and
on
any
surface
without
any
maintenance.
This
creates
a
warranty
problem
for
suppliers
and
manufacturers
alike.
The
machines
are
very
serviceable
and
the
parts
are
relatively
low
cost,
and
are
similar
in
many
ways
to
pedal
bikes
which
make
them
relatively
easy
to
work
on,
many
customers
prefer
to
repair
the
machines
themselves
as
it
is
appreciated
that
most
problems
arise
due
to
use
beyond
the
machines
limitations.

What
parts
are
NOT
covered
under
my
warranty?
Basically
parts
that
either
move
or
that
wear
through
use.
It
is
impossible
to
ascertain
the
amount
of
use
a
machine
or
part
has
had
and
what
level
of
maintenance
the
machine
or
part
has
received.
A
Pit
Bike
could
have
done
over
100
hours
use
easily
in
one
month,
if
used
a
lot,
that's
about
6
years
equivalent
use
of
say
a
lawn
mower
or
strimmer
.Therefore
parts
not
covered
at
any
time
under
warranty
are
as
follows:
•
Chains
/
Belts
•
Sprockets
•
Tyres
/
Inner
tubes
•
Wheels
•
Clutches
/
Levers
•
Plastic
cowlings
•
Throttle
/
Brake
cables
•
Switches
•
Batteries
•
Brake
handles
/
brake
pads
/
brake
drums
•
Brake
calipers
•
Carburetor
•
Engine
Gaskets
•
Fuel
tanks
•
Steering
stems
•
Bearings
•
Pull
cords
/
inner
starter
flanges
•
Cut
off
/
starter
switches

What
is
covered
then?
•
Frame
provided
there
are
no
crash
marks
•
Engine
providing
the
correct
fuel
and
maintenance
has
been
used
•
Wiring
providing
no
alterations
have
been
made
There
doesn't
seem
much
left
that
is
covered,
why
is
this?
This
is
true,
but
experience
has
shown
if
the
machines
are
used
incorrectly
as
small
motor
crossers
or
stunt
bikes,
damage
quickly
occurs
which
is
often
attempted
to
be
passed
off
as
a
warranty
issue.
We
feel
it
is
better
to
let
customers
know
what
is
likely
to
happen,
and
then
customers
can
make
an
informed
decision
before
they
purchase.
How
will
my
warranty
operate?
Within
the
first
7
days
if
your
machine
develops
a
fault,
you
can
contact
Ghostbikes
and
your
warranty
will
operate
as
follows:
1.
Any
problem
should
be
referred
to
Ghostbikes
who
will
evaluate
the
problem
and
suggest
a
solution.
2.
In
the
first
instance
we
will
expect
customers
to
fit
straightforward
parts
themselves
with
technical
help
from
Ghostbikes.
This
will
avoid
you
having
to
return
the
machine.
3.
We
will
send
parts
free
of
charge
in
the
7
days
providing
the
repair
is
covered
under
warranty
and
the
faulty
part
is
returned
to
us.
4.
If
the
repair
is
beyond
the
customers
capabilities
we
will
request
that
the
machine
is
returned
for
the
repair
to
be
carried
out
in
our
workshops.
5.
Machines
which
are
returned
and
that
are
later
found
to
not
be
a
warranty
repair
will
be
charged
at
our
standard
workshop
rate
of
£25
per
hour
+
parts
costs.
6.
You
will
be
advised
when
your
repaired
machine
will
be
ready
for
collection
7.
No
work
or
warranty
claims
will
be
undertaken
without
the
original
invoice/receipt.
8.
Repairs
will
be
carried
out
in
our
workshop.
We
do
not
offer
any
call
out
service
or
collections.
In
the
unlikely
event
a
problem
occurs
remember
we
are
here
to
help,
however
we
are
not
here
to
take
abuse
because
a
person
may
feel
the
above
does
not
apply
to
them.
Please
make
sure
you
are
happy
with
the
setup
and
warranty
procedures
before
making
a
decision
to
buy.
