instructions before using this equipment. Failure to follow all instructions listed below
may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious personal injury.

moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can be caught in moving parts.

safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.

Miter Saw Stand

• Turn tool switch off and disconnect power before mounting to the stand.
• Never stand on the product. The total weight of the saw and the workpiece

must not exceed 400 lb.

• This stand will accommodate the miter saws with blade diameter of 12" or

less.

Never to be used with any miter saws with a blade diameter larger than 12".

• Only use the GMSS400W for the purpose described in this manual.

Any use other

than those mentioned in this manual will be considered misuse. The manufacturer shall not be liable for any
damage or injury resulting form such cases of misuse.

KNOWING YOUR MITER SAW STAND

(Refer to FIG 1)

UNPACKING AND CONTENT

IMPORTANT

Due to modern mass production techniques, it is unlikely the tool is

faulty or that a part is missing. If you find anything wrong, do not use the product until
the parts have been replaced or the fault has been rectified. Failure to do so could result
in serious personal injury.

ASSEMBLY

INSTALLING WHEELS & RUBBER FEET

(See FIG 3)

To Install Wheels

1. Place the stand's top surface down on the floor with the folded legs on the top.
2. Remove the straight cotter pin (G2) from one end of the axle (G). Keep the bent cotter pin (G1) in place on the

other end.

3. Insert a wheel washer (E), a wheel (D), then a second wheel washer onto the axle (G) in order.

NOTE

Make sure the concave side of the washer is facing the wheel.

4. Insert the axle & wheel assembly through the wheel holder (A5) on the stand.
5. Insert the third wheel washer, a wheel, and the fourth wheel washer onto the end of the axle.

6. Insert the straight cotter pin (G2) into the locking hole on the axle.
7. Bend the straight cotter pin (G2) to secure the wheel assembly in position.

To Install The Rubber Feet

1.  Keep the stand's top surface down on the floor with the folded legs on the top.
2.  Remove the screws (F1) and nuts (F2) from the rubber feet sets (F).
3.  Place a rubber foot on one of the pre-drilled holes in the end opposite of the wheels. See FIG 3.
4.  Insert the screw (F1) through the rubber foot and pre-drilled hole.
5.  Screw the nut (F2) on and tighten it.
6.  Repeat the procedures 3,4 & 5 to install the second rubber foot.

UNFOLDING THE LEGS

(See FIG 4)

1.  Keep the stand's top surface down on the floor with the folded legs on the top.
2.  Push in a leg locking pin (A3)  and rotate that leg (A4) up until the locking pin clicks into place.
3.  Repeat with the remaining legs.
4.  Lift the stand and place it in a upright position.
5.  Check and make sure the stand is stable and all legs have the locking pin engaged.

INSTALLING THE MATERIAL SUPPORTS

(See FIG 5)

1.  Loosen the material support locking knob (5).
2.  Slide the material support (C) through the square hole on the end of extension rail.
3.  Tighten the material support locking knob to secure.
4.  Repeat the above procedures to install the second material support.

ATTACHING SAW TO SAW MOUNTING BRACKETS

(See FIG 6)

Always position the saw to achieve the maximum balance and stability. All four corners of the saw must be bolted to
the mounting brackets before use. Make sure bolts do not extend above the table of the miter saw.

If the saw has four holes that line up with the slots in the saw mounting brackets:

1. Unplug the miter saw and lock the saw head in the down position.
2. Lift one side of the saw and place a saw mounting bracket underneath it. Insert the mounting bolts provided

through the slot in the bracket and through the miter saw mounting holes, as shown in FIG 6.

NOTE

Use M6x35mm fastener set for Genesis™ GMS15LB and GMSUDR15L miter saws. Use M8x55mm

fastener set for other Genesis™ miter saws.

3.  Secure in place using a flat washer, lock washer and nut, in that order.
4.  Repeat the steps 2 & 3 to install the second bracket to the other side of the miter saw.
5.  Check that the brackets are parallel to each other, then hand tighten all four nuts to hold the saw in position.

If the mounting holes on the saw do not line up with the slots in the saw mounting brackets:

1.  Unplug the miter saw and lock the saw head in the down position.
2.  Mount the saw on a mounting surface (e.g. plywood) at least 1/2" thick, using bolts, washers and nuts.
3.  Drill the holes in the mounting surface to match the slots in the saw mounting brackets.
4.  Proceed with attaching procedures as previously described.

MOUNTING THE MITER SAW TO THE STAND

See FIG 7)

1. Lift the bracket assembly using the handles (B2) on the brackets, allowing the assembly to tilt slightly toward

your body.

2. While still titled toward you, hook the front edge of the bracket assembly onto the front rail of the stand, as

shown in FIG 7.

WARNING:

To avoid serious personal injury, make sure the curved front edge of

the mounting brackets are securely seated over the front rail before seating the other end
of the brackets. Failure to do so could you to lose control of the saw mounting assembly.

3.  Lower the bracket assembly to allow the rear edge of the bracket to seat fully over the rear rail.
4.  Lock the brackets in position by lowering the locking levers (B1).
5.  Check position and adjust, if necessary, to make sure the weight of the saw is evenly balanced over the rails as

shown in FIG 7.

6. Ensure the saw is fully seated and locked in position, then securely tighten the four nuts holding the saw to the

saw mounting brackets.

To Remove Saw From Stand

1.  Raise the locking levers to unlock the saw and mounting bracket assembly.
2.  Lift away from the rear rail of the stand to disengage.
3.  With the assembly titled slightly toward you, lift the front part of the assembly to disengage from the front rail

of the stand.

WARNING:

The mounting brackets are designed to fit snugly over the stand

rails, with the locking levers in the lowered (locked) position, you should not be able to
remove the saw and bracket assembly from the rails. If the mounting brackets will not fit
over the rails, or if the mounting brackets can be removed from the rails when levers are
locked, remove from the saw and bracket assembly immediately and adjust the bracket
adjustment screw as described in the Adjustments section of this manual. Failure to heed
this warning may result in serious personal injury.

ADJUSTMENTS

BRACKET ADJUSTMENT SCREW

(See FIG 8)

Mounting brackets are designed to fit snugly over the stand rails. With the locking levers in the locking position, you
should not be able to remove the saw and bracket assembly from the rails. If the saw and bracket assembly can be
removed form the rails when levers are locked, the bracket adjustment screws need to be tightened. If the saw and
bracket assembly will not fit over both rails, the bracket adjustment screws needs to be loosened.

NOTE:

The saw should be removed from the mounting brackets before attempting to tighten or loosen the

bracket adjustment screws.

To Adjust:

1. Use a wrench to slightly loosen the nut (B3).
2. Turn the screw (B4) with a phillips screwdriver clockwise if the bracket assembly needs to be tightened, or

counterclockwise if the assembly needs to be loosened.

3.  Install the bracket on the miter stand rails and lower the locking lever to check the adjustment.
4.  When the correct position is achieved, wrench tighten the nut (B3) to secure.
5.  Repeat with the second mounting bracket.

TO LEVEL STAND

(See FIG 9)

The stand is equipped with an adjustable foot for leveling the stand.

To Adjust:

1. Use a wrench to slightly loosen the nut (A1)
2. Adjust the height of the foot by turning the threaded shaft (A2) clockwise to raise the foot or counter-clockwise

to lower the foot.

3. Retighten the nut (A1) securely.

WARNING:

To reduce the risk of injury, make sure the stand is stable and

level before operating the saw. Choose a level area to set up the stand and adjust the
adjustable foot so that all four legs are touching the ground.

OPERATION

USING THE EXTENSION RAILS

(See FIG 10)

Use the extension rails (2) when working with larger workpieces.

To Extend the Rails

1.  Loosen the extension locking knob (6).
2.  Extend the rail (2) to the desired position.
3.  Tighten the extension locking knob.

ADJUSTING MATERIAL SUPPORT HEIGHT

(See FIG 11)

1. Loosen the material support locking knob (5).
2. Adjust the height of the material support (7) so its support roller (3) is level with the table top surface of the

miter saw.

3. Retighten the knob (5) and repeat on the other side.

WARNING:

To reduce the risk of injury, make sure the material supports are

adjusted so that workpiece sits flat on the miter saw table. Workpieces that do not sit flat
could cause the blade to bind during cutting.

USING THE WORK STOPS

(See FIG 11)

Raise the work stop (4) whenever you need to make repetitive cuts of the same length.

NOTE:

To avoid a greater risk of binding or pinching, do not use both work stops at the same time.

To Raise the Work Stop,

simply just flip the work stop up as shown in FIG 11.

USING WHEELS TO TRANSPORT

(See FIG 12)

The wheels make it easy to transport the stand with or without saw mounted, as shown in FIG 12.

1.  Fold all four legs up, reversing the instructions in the previous section "Unfolding the Legs".
2.  Make sure the saw and bracket assembly is locked securely on the stand rails.
3.  Lift the end of stand body to transport.

WARNING:

Always using the stand body to lift. Do not use the extension rail

or material support to lift the stand. A loosened locking knob during the transportation
could cause serious personal injury.

MAINTENANCE

CLEANING

Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.

WARNING:

Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based

products, penetrating oils, etc., come in contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can
damage, weaken or destroy plastic which may result in serious personal injury.

TWO-YEAR WARRANTY

This product is warranted free from defects in material and workmanship for 2 years after date of
purchase. This limited warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage from neglect or
accident. The original purchaser is covered by this warranty and it is not transferable. Prior to returning
