D. PRODUCT SAFETY FEATURES

1.   Automatic Defrosting

To ensure the unit operates and performs as stated, the unit has
been designed with an Automatic defrost function as frost can be
produced on the surface of the evaporator in low temperatures.

When the temperature sensor detects the room temperature has
dropped to 16°C or lower, the Auto Defrost function will start and
the DEFROST

indicator light will illuminate. The unit compressor

will run for 25 minutes on dehumidification mode and then the fan
will run at high speed in 7 minute cycles to defrost the unit.

Note:

The dehumidification symbol

will switch off when unit is in

Defrost mode.

2.   Protection Of Extremely Low & High Temperature

Unit is built with a room temperature sensor that will automatically
shut off the unit when the ambient temperature is either less than
or equal to 0°C or greater than or equal to 40°C. When sensor
is activated there will be a continuous warning beeper which will
beep 3 long and 2 short beeps. The dehumidification symbol

will illuminate.

Note:

Unit will not be operable when sensor is activated, to restart

unit, unplug unit and restart again.

3.   Failure of Humidity & Temperature Sensor

When the connection wire between the humidity and temperature
sensor is disconnected, the humidity CON light will blink and
switch unit into continuous dehumidifying mode.

If the temperature evaporator sensor becomes open circuit or
short circuit the DEFROST

light will start blinking. Unit will

operate in a humidifying and defrosting mode, dehumidifying for
20 minutes and then defrosting for 5 minutes.

Note:

If the temperature evaporator senor malfunctions, the unit

will continue to work but at a lower efficiency.

4.   Compressor Protection

If the unit malfunctions during the operation of the unit and the
compressor fails, the compressor will switch off. Wait a minimum
of three minutes to reoperate unit.

5.   Memory Function

If the power is cut off during the operation of the appliance, the
unit will memorise the working mode automatically. Once power
is restored to the unit, the appliance will restart and continue
working at the last set working mode.

Note:

If the ON/OFF timer has been set and activated, the unit will

restart at original operating mode, not at previous set mode.

Note:

If power supply is cut off due to one of the safety features

being activated, the unit will not restart at previous set mode.
