Operation

9

You’re all set!  In the event of a power outage, the ClearPower Battery Back-up
System will continue to power whatever device it is plugged into for up to 4
days of regular use. You can check the status of the ClearPower battery by
simply pressing and holding the Battery Indicator Button on the top of the unit.

There are (5) LED indicator lights that identify the power level of the
ClearPower unit.  When all (5) indicator lights appear, the unit is fully charged.
When the unit is down to only (1) indicator light, there is only 20% battery life
remaining. It is important to recharge the ClearPower at this point.

Option 2 – Portable Battery Charger for Mobile Devices

IMPORTANT:

At the risk of stating the obvious, make sure your ClearPower is fully

charged before taking it with you as a portable charger for your mobile devices,
using that handy-dandy Battery Indicator Button to check the power level. Press
and hold the small button on the Battery Use Indicator Panel (see page 6). If all
five (5) indicator lights appear, you are good to go. Your ClearPower is fully charged.

If only 2-3 indicator lights appear, you may want to charge it up before
heading out or make sure to bring the power adapter with you in the event
you need to recharge.

The ClearPower has (2) USB output jacks which accommodate any 5V
mobile device charger.  (See illustration on page12.)

a.)   The jack labeled USB1 is a 1 amp current. Ok, for those of

you who are not engineer types, that simply means it is
suitable for any mobile phone (iPhone, Android, 1990’s flip
phone – Hey, there are still some out there.)

b.)   The jack labeled USB2 is a 2 amp current. This jack is

suitable for an iPad or Android tablet device.

To charge your mobile phone, simply plug the charging cable that came with
your phone into your phone, and then plug the USB plug into the USB1 jack
on the ClearPower device.

NOTE:

Most mobile phones come with a USB power adapter that can be

removed from the AC plug and used to charge with any USB output jack on
a computer, laptop, etc.  This is the cord you would use to plug into your
ClearPower.

To charge your tablet, simply plug the USB charging cord into the USB2 jack.
