Notice: Windshield Mounting Legal Restrictions
Before mounting Clear Dash HD on windshield, consult state and local ordinances. Some
states may outlaw suction mounts while driving or regulate where suction mounts are located
in your vehicle. Many states have restrictions against “non-transparent material” on a car
windshield that may obstruct the driver’s view.
Warning: This product and its components contain chemicals known to the state of
California to cause cancer, birth defects,
or reproductive harm. This Notice is being provided in accordance with California’s
Proposition 65. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please refer to

Ensure proper disposal of the rechargeable battery.
The battery contained in this device is lithium ion. To locate a battery recycling center
near you, call 1-800-8-BATTERY or 1-877-2-RECYCLE for proper disposal.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
• Do not expose Clear Dash HD to rain or moisture.
• Clear Dash HD is intended for use in a motor vehicle. Do not install the product where it will
block the driver’s view of the road (including mirrors) or the deployment of airbags.
• Keep your attention on the road! Do not try to operate or focus on device while driving. If you
have to concentrate on or adjust the device, pull over to the side of the road for a moment.
• Make sure the camera lens is kept clean and there is nothing blocking the lens.
• Do not leave Clear Dash HD in direct sunlight for a long period of time or where the temperature
could go above 140°F (60°C).

Clear Dash HD
Operating Instructions
Getting Started
1. Remove battery from protective packaging
and insert into unit.
2. Insert memory card into memory slot.
3. Mount unit on dash or window of vehicle
with camera facing the area to be
recorded.
Mounting to Dash with Suction Cup
a. Attach Clear Dash to the suction
mount by screwing mount into bottom
of cam.
b. Locate a suitable position to mount
the dash cam. Do not obstruct visibility
for driving.
A smooth surface is needed for
suction cup to secure properly.
c. Make sure surface is clean as well as
suction cup.
d. Press suction cup to surface and
switch lever.
e. Test Mount to make secure. If loose
repeat process.
4. Connect unit to power supply.
5. Press and hold ON/OFF button to turn on.
6. Press REC button to start/stop recording.
Check video screen and adjust unit
position for best picture recording.
Battery must be charged for first use.
Charge battery for 3 hours.
Setting Time and Date.
• Press Menu button one time, then press
Mode button to enter setup.
• Scroll UP or DOWN to Date &Time.
• Press REC button.
• Press UP or DOWN key to select Date.
Press REC button to accept.
• Press MENU to Exit.

Note:
1. If the unit does not turn on after charging, Disconnect power, remove
battery and reinstall to active it. Reconnect power.
2. Please do not take out the battery or memory card during unit working,
otherwise unit program and screen display will be easy damaged.
2 Modes of Operation:
1. Operation by Car Power Port (12/24V)
a. Using Power Port cable, plug micro USB end into Clear Dash HD and the other end into the
Power Port/cigarette lighter or…
b. Using USB cable, plug micro USB end into Clear Dash HD and the USB end into a USB power
adapter or USB connection.
c. The Clear Dash HD will charge the lithium ion battery while it operates on the car’s
electrical power. The red light will display when unit is charging and will remain on when
power is connected.
d. Clear Dash HD will begin recording automatically when car ignition is turned on.
e. When car ignition is turned off, Clear Dash HD turns off automatically and a file of the
recording is saved automatic.
2. Operation by Rechargeable Lithium Ion Battery
a. Charge the Clear Dash HD as per instructions above. The charge of battery can be seen by
the battery strength meter located on the screen in the lower left corner.
b. To use by battery power, press ON/OFF button to start and stop recording.

NOTE: Use USB adapters that supply an output voltage of 5V-1A.
• Do not overcharge the battery.
For most cars, power ports or USB ports will turn off when ignition is off. Some cars have power
and USB ports that stay active and Clear Dash HD will remain on. If MOTION setting is on, then
recording will only take place when motion is detected though Clear Dash HD stay on. In order to
turn off with active power ports, Clear Dash HD must be turned off by pressing ON/OFF button.
Clear Dash HD Modes – 4 Functions
With unit powered on, press MODE button to switch between functions.
Recording Video/DVR Turn on Clear Dash HD, unit will record. Press REC can start/stop
recording. When car stops and power is turned off, recording file is being saved automatic. Files will
be saved in time intervals set in MENU settings. Once memory card is full, files will be rewritten from
oldest one by one. Except the locked one.
Photo/Camera Turn on Clear Dash HD, press MODE button once to switch to Camera Mode.
Camera Icon will appear in upper left corner of screen. Press REC to take photo. Picture size can be
set by pressing menu and then REC button to select 3M, 2M, 1M, and VGA. Accept by pressing REC
and MENU to exit.
Record Audio Record audio files. Turn on Clear Dash HD, press MODE button two times to select
audio record picture. Audio microphone will appear in upper left corner of screen.
Press REC to start / stop recording, press up to pause / record.
Preview/Delete Files Turn on Clear Dash HD, press the MODE button three times to enter
preview play mode. Scroll UP or DOWN to select file to play. Press REC to start and stop. If file is
to be deleted / locked / slide show / voice memory , select and then press MENU button to enter
into delete / locked / slide show / voice memory mode.

Day/Night Recording
In video or camera mode, press ON/OFF button to change from daylight to nighttime. An icon of a
sun will appear on screen for daylight and icon of a moon for nighttime.
Downloading Files
1. Connect the Clear Dash HD to a computer using the USB cable.
2. Memory disk will appear in “my computer”.
3. Download files from the memory disk folder.
Loop Recording
The Clear Dash HD video recorder has a continuous recording function. When the memory card
is full, the Clear Dash HD will record over the oldest saved files. The saved files are stored in files
of 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 15 minutes intervals. These intervals can be changed in Menu settings: video
section (Default is 15 minutes). Oldest files will be recorded over as sections, one by one.
NOTE: Important files should be saved to a computer or another storage device to avoid being overwritten.

Setting Motion Detect
Setting Motion detect to ON in Menu settings will allow for Clear Dash to record on battery power.
Clear Dash will sense motion in the direction it is pointed and start to record. Unit will save and
turn off without motion and after auto off times out. See Menu settings table for instructions.

Trouble Shooting:
Unit will not turn on - Unit must be charged. After charging, remove power cable,
remove battery and reinstall.
Unit is not recording - Check if the memory card is installed or full. Another situation
might be that the card does not match the unit, install memory card supplied with the unit.
Battery is not charging - Remove and reinstall battery and try charging again. Battery
strength meter will show on the screen lower left corner.
Battery is Dead after a few hours - Unit may be running on battery due to Motion
detect set to “on”. If set to Motion detect and constant motion, then battery power will
drain more quickly.
No memory card - The card does not match the unit, install memory card supplied
with the unit. Format new memory card. See settings.
Recorder display is full - Delete some files or change to a new memory card.
Images are blurred - Clean camera lens or vehicle windshield.
Display shuts off - The display turns off after a preset time, it is caused by unit default
Panel Protect, this time can be changed and set on Menu settings (Panel Protect).
Can’t Loop record - Please check your Menu default setting to “on”.

SIXTY DAY LIMITED WARRANTY
The manufacturer warrants that all parts and components are free of defects in materials
and workmanship for 60 days from the date the product is received. This warranty is valid
only in accordance with the conditions set forth below:
1. Normal wear and tear are not covered by this warranty. This warranty applies
to consumer use only, and is void when the product is used in a commercial or
institutional setting.
2. The warranty extends only to the original consumer purchaser and is not transferable.
In addition, proof of purchase must be demonstrated. This warranty is void if the
product has been subject to accident, misuse, abuse, improper maintenance or repair,
or unauthorized modification.
3. This limited warranty is the only written or express warranty given by the manufacturer.
Any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose on this
product is limited in duration to the duration of this warranty. Some states do not allow
limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply
to you.

4. Repair or replacement of the product (or, if repair or replacement is not feasible, a
refund of the purchase price) is the exclusive remedy of the consumer under this
warranty. The manufacturer shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential
damages for breach of this warranty or any implied warranty on this product. Some
states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages,
so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
5. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which
vary from state to state.
Procedure for Warranty Repairs or Replacement:
If warranty service is necessary, the original purchaser must pack
the product securely and send it postage paid with a description
of the defect, proof of purchase, and a check or money order
for $9.99 to the following address:
