SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS 

 

 

The device is only authorized for private, domestic use! 

 

Do not leave the device unsupervised when the charging plug is connected.   

 

The devices is not a toy, therefore please be particularly careful when children are around. 

 

Check the device and connections regularly for visible damage. The device must not be used if the 
housing is damaged or other damage is present. 

 

Never attempt to open the device or the mains adapter yourself or to replace the connecting cable. 
Always have repairs to the device carried out by a specialist workshop. There is considerable danger to 
the user if repairs are faulty. 

 

Never pull on the cable to disconnect the mains adapter from the mains, always use the plug.   

 

Do not trap the mains adapter cable and when using the adapter, pay attention to where the cable is to 
prevent any danger of tripping over it. Keep the cable away from heated surfaces (e.g. cooker surfaces). 

 

Do not touch the mains adapter and cable with wet hands. 

 

Do not use the unit outside. 

 

Do not use the device to pick up inflammable fluids (e.g. Fuel or solvent) or burning objects (e.g. ash 
cigarettes). 

 

Never vacuum up sharp objects such as shards of glass etc. 

 

Do not point the vacuum cleaner at persons or animals when in operation. 

 

Only use the mains adapter on dry surfaces in buildings. 

 

Only use the device with the accessories supplied. 

 

Please keep these instructions in a safe place. 

 

If passing on the device to someone else, please give them these operating instructions as well. 

 

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or 
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or 
instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be 
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

UNPACKING & ASSEMBLY 

Check that all the parts are in the box. Refer to breakdown on page 4. 
 
1.  Fit the electrical brush by carefully inserting it into the vacuum compartment. 
 

 

                                                                         
2.  Make sure you insert the tube to the correct position into the hand vacuum handle. 

 

 
3.  Fit the crevice nozzle and small brush by inserting them into accessory holder. 

       

           

 

CHARGING 

Insert the charger into the mains power supply (Note: The hand vacuum should be held in the body). 
Always make sure that the stick vacuum is turned off, and then connect the charger to the charge hole located 
on the side of the stick vac. The indicator light will come on once the stick vacuum starts charging. 
 
The first time charging the stick vacuum, leave on charge for approximately 3 hours to fully charge the 
batteries before the first use. In order to ensure that it is always ready for use, the stick vacuum should be left 
on connection with the adaptor when not being used until the battery is fully charged. The adaptor may 
become warm during charging, this is normal. Once the battery is fully charged, remember to remove the unit 
from the charger, as not doing so may reduce battery life and run time.

VACUUMING FLOORS AND CARPETS 

You should regularly check that the nozzle cushions and the brush roller are clean in order to avoid scratching 
sensitive floors. Start the device by pushing the on/off button away from you.   
 

USING THE HAND VACUUM 

To release the hand vacuum from the body, press the hand vacuum release button on metal tube and the 
hand vacuum will become detached. Carefully remove from the body and hold by the handle, the crevice 
nozzle, upholstery nozzle could be fitted to the nozzle of the hand vacuum when vacuuming hard to reach 
place. 

           

 

 

EMPTYING/CLEANING   

Regularly clean the dust container and filters to maintain maximum performance. 
Careful cleaning of the dust container and filters. 
 
1. Remove the whole dust container by pressing the release button and turning the dust container off.   

 

 

2. Pulling out the filters and emptying the contents of the dust container into a suitable vessel or bag. (The 
filter can be shaken clean or cleaned and rinsed using warm water. Make sure that the parts are dry before 
they are re-installed). 

 

3. Re-install the components 
Firstly re-install the filter after the filter baffle plate in the dust container. Place to match up with the both 
ventilation positions. Secondly assembling the dust container following up the opposite procedures when 
detaching the dust container.

CLEANING THE ROLLER BRUSH 

If the roller brush becomes blocked or jammed for any reason, the vacuum will be lower down. The roller 
brush may then need to be cleaned. First turn off the device, and then carefully use a pair of scissors or a 
sharp knife to remove any items such as threads that may have become entangled. 
 
If the roller brush needs to be lifted out – open the hatch cover by turning the locking screw anti-clockwise with 
a coin or other tool. The hatch cover will come slightly free and can now be removed.   

 

Lift out the roller brush and clean it. Replace the roller brush and make sure that it fits into its guiding tracks, 
and make sure that it can spin freely. Place the hatch cover and lock by turning anticlockwise as far as 
possible. 
 

CLEANING OF WHEEL AXLES 

If a wheel is jammed by threads or dirt: 

  Remove the wheels by carefully prizing them loose using a screwdriver inserted into the cavity. 

  Remove threads or any other objects that may have become jammed in the wheels axles. 

  Reassemble the wheels by pressing them tightly together. 

 

DISPOSAL 

If the device is to be disposed of, the batteries should be removed. Used batteries should never be disposed 
of with household waste. These should always be taken to a recycling station. 
 

SERVICING OR REPAIRS 

In case of breakdown or faults, the device must be repaired by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly 
qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY 

 

This document outlines the terms and conditions of warranty for your Cleanstar product.    This is an important document that 

should be kept with your proof of purchase documents in a safe place for future reference should you require service for your 

product. 

 

Thank you for purchasing your new Cleanstar product. We are confident this product will give you trouble-free use and excellent service, 

provided the operator uses and  maintains the product in accordance with the Instruction Manual. Please read the  Instruction Manual 

carefully before using the product for correct operation and maintenance procedures, and store it in a safe place for future reference. 

 

1. 

This is a parts and labour warranty against faulty or defective parts, materials or workmanship in manufacturing, when the product 

is used and operated in accordance with the Instruction Manual. 

2. 

This product carries a 12 month (1 year) warranty period that commences from the original date of purchase by the first 

user/purchaser, and is not transferable. 

3. 

The warranty covers only personal, domestic or household use of the product to remove dry dirt and dust from household carpets, 

flooring and fabrics. 

4. 

This product is not suitable for commercial or industrial cleaning applications and therefore no warranty applies in this case. 

5. 

This warranty only applies to products purchased and used in Australia. 

6. 

At all times during the warranty period, Cleanstar shall, at its sole discretion, determine whether repair, replacement or refund will 

apply if the product has a valid warranty claim applicable to it. 

7. 

The repair or replacement of the product under this warranty does not extend the original period of warranty. 

8. 

Please note that this warranty will be voided in the following cases (which are not exhaustive) and the warranty does not apply to 

the cost of replacing any parts of the product resulting from: 

  Accidental damage; 

  Normal wear and tear; 

  Neglect, misuse or physical abuse by the operator, including failure to properly maintain or service; 

  Any alterations, modifications or tampering with the product without the prior written consent of Cleanstar; 

  Incomplete or improper installation; 

  Incorrect, improper or inappropriate operation; 

  Insect or vermin infestation; 

  Power surges, electrical storm damage or incorrect power supply/voltage;

  Excessive use or use for which this product has not been designed; 

  Vacuuming up water, liquids, toner, powders, glass, hazardous, flammable or corrosive materials, plaster dust, concrete dust 

and other similar building or construction materials; 

  Failure to comply with the operating instructions contained in the Manual supplied with the product; 

  If the product is rented; 

  If the product is used outside of Australia; 

  If the product was serviced or repaired by anyone other than Cleanstar, or one of Cleanstar’s Authorised Service Agents 

(ASA). Cleanstar is unable to accept any responsibility under this warranty for any repair work not carried out by an ASA or 

from the use of non-genuine parts. 

9. 

This warranty does not cover service calls, travelling time or consumable parts such as belts, dust bags, filters, hose or hose parts, 

rods and wands, floor tools and accessories, motor brushes and other like consumable items, unless defective in manufacture. In 

order to prolong the life of accessories and consumables, regular care and maintenance is recommended. 

10.  Please retain your original proof of purchase which will be required before you can make a claim under this warranty. If proof of 

purchase can not be provided at the time of a warranty claim or service, any work carried out on the cleaner is chargeable. 

11.  Any transportation and delivery costs involved in the repair of defective parts shall be borne by the claimant. In all instances, unless 

the product is transported by Cleanstar or a Cleanstar authorised representative, the product is transported at the owner’s cost and 

risk while in transit to and from Cleanstar or its ASA. 

 

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.  You are entitled to a replacement  or 

refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the 

goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. The benefits 

conferred by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies under law in respect of the product to which this warranty relates. 

 

TO INQUIRE ABOUT MAKING A CLAIM UNDER THIS WARRANTY, PLEASE FOLLOW THESE STEPS: 

a)  carefully check the Instruction Manual and the terms of this warranty; 

b)  have the name and model number of the appliance available; 

c) 

have the proof of purchase available (ie. invoice, receipt, etc) showing where the appliance was purchased from and date of 

purchase; 

d)  call Cleanstar on
