to 800 hours of operation. This durability standard allows us to offer a 4-‐year
warranty on electrical and heating mechanism parts and workmanship.

We require that the product be mailed back to us and we will determine if a)
replacement or b) repair is required as our discretion.
In order to make a warranty claim, email al@sixsst.com with your name and serial
number and date of purchase and we will give you further instructions on how to
mail the product back to us.

Before using your straighteners, please read the following instructions very
carefully. This appliance heats to an extremely high temperature and the following
will safeguard you from any danger from incorrect use.
This product should only be used in strict accordance with the instructions. 6

These damages may include (but are not limited to) earnings lost, profit loss, usage
loss, third party complaint cost and cost of equipment and service replacement.

You will find the following terms in the operating manual that follows. Pay attention
to these indications and understand them before you operate your styler.

GENERAL SAFETY:

on artificial or animal hair. Do not use the heating elements to dry any other objects.

washbasin or with wet hands.

Never switch this appliance on when: The appliance or the power cord is damaged.
The device has been dropped, shows visible damage or is not working properly.
The appliance is damaged to such an extent that electrical parts are exposed.
If any of the above are visible, disconnect immediately from the power source.
You must unplug the appliance when: A malfunction occurs. You are going to clean
the appliance. The appliance is switched off. When the appliance is not being used.

: DO NOT allow children to use, maintain or play with this appliance. Keep
children away from this tool -‐
it can and will cause severe burns.

People with medical conditions -‐ where the product may cause them harm if an

: Power Cord Precautions -‐ Position power cord so that it is not a hazard.
Prevent it from being run over by wheels, chair legs, having heavy or sharp items
resting on or falling on the appliance.
If the cord is damaged, only the manufacturer, its service agent or a qualified

Do not disconnect the appliance by pulling the power cord. Use the plug mechanism
to disconnect from power.
Do not dangle or hold the appliance by the cord. Hold the tool itself, on the handle
away from the heated plates. Clean appliance with a damp cloth when disconnected
from power source and fully cooled.
DANGER
: Risk of Fire. Never use flammable liquids or gasses near the appliance,
including aerosol cans, styling foams etc. To prevent overheating and combustion,
never place towels or similar items over or under the appliance.
Do not use styling oil or sprays if there is any damage to heating plates. Do not let
paper or other tinder touch heated plates.
Do not use an extension cord with this appliance. The 6th Sense Professional Styler
is made for indoor use only.
ATTENTION:
DO NOT put the appliance down on wooden, paper or material surfaces -‐ use a flat
heat resistant surface. DO NOT leave this device unattended while plugged in. DO let
your styler cool down before putting it away. The included heat resistant carry
pouch is designed to hold a warm styler, but you must still be alert to the fact that it
is hot and care must be taken.
It is wise to have or have installed electrical leakage circuit breakers where
electrical appliances such as the 6th Sense Professional Stylers are in use. Have a
licensed electrician install in your home or salon.
This appliance is intended only for use as a hair styling iron and only with products
specifically designed for use with a heated styler.
DO avoid contact with hot parts of the tool.
Persons suffering from Dyskinesia should not use this product.
Dry your hands before using this product.

Auto Shut-‐off: The 6th Sense Professional Styler has an automatic shut off feature
should the appliance be left on.
2. Starting Up:
Plugging In:
When you plug in your 6th Sense Professional Styler, the first thing that will happen
is the 3 lights will blink, twice -‐ ON, OFF, and ON, OFF again. That signals, that the
styler is ready to be turned on.
Turning the 6th Sense Professional Styler On:
To turn the 6th Sense Professional Styler on, click the middle position
“On” button.
You will see, in the digital temperature window, the number 355 in red. That
number is the middle of the 11 temperature settings.

These 11 temperature settings go from the lowest – 265 degrees, to the highest -‐
445 degrees – as follows:

You are now ready to set the desired temperature.
Click the + or -‐ button as many times as needed to get to the desired temperature for
your hair.
Of course the thicker the hair, the higher the temperature – that’s the general rule of
thumb. Thinner hair requires cooler temperatures. You will either already know or
will need to test to see what temperature is best for your hair.
The correct temperature for straightening is a point of judgment. The ideal scene for
hair straightening is a smooth, one pass experience. A correct 1-‐pass stroke is a

slow, deliberate pass, with the styler firmly holding a section of hair. You don’t want
it too hot, generating a burning smell.
The Lights and Temperature:
The 3 LEDs, Red, Blue and Green tell you when the styler is ready for use at the
temperature setting you’ve selected. Here’s how they work:

Sense Styling Technology is a new company started in 2014 by two partners –
Dave and Al. Between us we combine a) a tremendous appreciation of the art of
being beautiful. This art form has been women’s focus since women have been on
Earth!
It’s a key component of life. Al is from a family of artists and hairstylists and his
father was a top beauty and barber supply salesman in the Detroit area for over 50
years. He’s sold in women’s retail fashion, jewelry and hair care across the U.S.
Dave brings expertise in manufacturing and distribution from his family business
that sold product lines in major retail outlets across the United States.
Together we’ve created a brand, which we call 6

Sense for short – which is the
intuitive faculty of being beautiful and making your surroundings better for it.
