WORK AREA SAFETY

Keep your work area clean and well lit.

Clutteredbenchesanddarkareasinviteaccidents.

Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres,

suchasinthepresenceof

flammableliquids,gases,ordust.Powertoolscreatesparkswhichmayignitethedustorfumes.

Keep bystanders, children, and visitors away while operating a power tool.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY

Power tool plugs must match the outlet

Nevermodifythepluginanyway.Donotuseany

adaptorplugsinanyearthed(grounded)powertools.Doubleinsulatedtoolsareequippedwithapolarized
plug(onebladeiswiderthantheother).Thisplugwillfitinapolarizedoutletonlyoneway.Iftheplugdoesnot
fitfullyintheoutlet,reversetheplug.Ifitstilldoesnotfit,contactaqualifiedelectriciantoinstallapolarized

Avoid accidental starting

ensuretheswitchisintheoffpositionbeforepluggingin.Carryingpower

toolwithyourfingerontheswitchorplugginginpowertoolsthathavetheswitchoninvitesaccidents.

Keep cutting tools sharp and clean

Properlymaintainedcuttingtoolswithsharpcuttingedges

Feed the workpiece in the correct direction and speed.

BATTERY TOOL USE AND CARE

Ensure the switch trigger is in the off position before inserting battery pack.

Insertingthebatterypackintopowertoolsthathavetheswitchoninvitesaccidents.

recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer.

suitableforonetypeofbatterypackmaycreateariskoffirewhenusedwithanotherbatterypack.

Use battery tools only with specified battery pack

nails, coins, clips, keys, screws, or other small metal objects that can make 
a connection from one terminal to another

Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the batter

  Battery tools do not need to be plugged into an electrical outlet

alwaysinoperationcondition.Beawareofpossiblehazardswhennotusingyourbatterytoolorwhenchanging
accessories.followingthisrulewillreducetheriskofelectricshock,fireorpersonalinjury.

WArNING:

USE OF THIS TOOL CAN GENErATE AND DISBUrSE DUST Or 

OTHEr AIrBOrNE PArTICLES, INCLUDING WOOD DUST, CrYSTALLINE SILICA DUST 
AND ASBESTOS.  Direct particles away from face and body.  Always operate tool in a 
well-ventilated area and provide for proper dust removal.  Use dust collection system 
wherever possible.  Exposure to the dust may cause serious and permanent respiratory 
or other injury, including silicosis (a serious lung disease), cancer, and death.  Avoid 
breathing the dust, and avoid prolonged contact with the dust.  Allowing dust to get into 
your mouth or eyes, or lay on your skin may promote absorption of harmful material.  
Always use properly fitting NIOSH/OSHA approved respiratory protection appropriate for 
dust exposure, and wash exposed areas with soap and water.

SERVICE

•  Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person 

usingonlyidentical

replacementparts.Thiswillensurethatthesafetyofthepowertoolismaintained.

•  Service your power tool periodically. 

Whencleaningatool,becarefulnottodisassembleany

portionofthetoolsinceinternalwiresmaybemisplacedorpinched.

EXTENSION COrDS

Grounded tools require a three wire extension cord

.

Doubleinsulatedtoolscanuse

eitheratwoorthreewireextensioncord.Asthedistancefromthepowersupplyoutletincreases,youmustusea
heaviergaugeextensioncord.usingextensioncordswithinadequatelysizedwirecausesaseriousdropinvoltage,
resultinginlossofpowerandpossibletooldamage.Refertothetableshownbelowtodeterminetherequired
minimumwiresize.
Thesmallerthegaugenumberofthewire,thegreaterthecapacityofthecord.forexample:a14-gaugecord
cancarryahighercurrentthana16-gaugecord.Whenusingmorethanoneextensioncordtomakeupthetotal
length,besureeachcordcontainsatleasttheminimumwiresizerequired.Ifyouareusingoneextensioncordfor
morethanonetool,addthenameplateamperesandusethesumtodeterminetherequiredminimumwiresize.

Guidelines for Using Extension Cords

• Ifyouareusinganextensioncordoutdoors,besureitismarkedwiththesuffix“W-A”(“W”inCanada)to

indicatethatitisacceptableforoutdooruse.

• Besureyourextensioncordisproperlywiredandingoodelectricalcondition.Alwaysreplaceadamaged

extensioncordorhaveitrepairedbyaqualifiedpersonbeforeusingit.

• Protectyourextensioncordsfromsharpobjects,excessiveheat,anddamporwetareas.

UNPACKING AND CONTENT

IMPOrTANT:

Due to modern mass production techniques, it is unlikely the tool is 

faulty or that a part is missing.  If you find anything wrong, do not operate the tool until 
the parts have been replaced or the fault has been rectified. Failure to do so could result

WArNING:

 

To reduce the risk of serious personal injuries, read and follow all 

important safety warning and instructions before using this tool.

WArNING: 

Always be sure that the tool is switched off before insertion or 

removal of the battery pack.

INSTALLING OR REMOVING THE BATTERY 
PACK (FIG 2)

• Toinstallthebatterypack,slidethebatterypack(1)intothe

bottomofthetoolhousing(2)allthewayuntilitlocksinplace
withaclick,asshowninfIG2.Lightlypullonthebatteryto
ensureitislockedintoplaceandwillnotaccidentallyfalloutof
thetool,causinganinjury.

• Toremovethebatterypack,pullthebatterypackawayfromthe

toolwhiledepressingthebatterylockingtab(3).

CHARGING THE BATTERY (FIG 3)
NOTE:

 

AlwaysCheckthatthepowersupplycorrespondstothe

voltageontheratingsplate.
• Connectthechargeradaptor(1)andthechargerstand(3).
• Plugthechargeradaptor(1)intoa120VoltACpowersource.The

greenlightonthechargerstand(3)willilluminate,indicatingthe
chargerispowered.

•Slidethebattery(2)allthewayintothechargerstand(3)until

itlocksinplacewithaclick,asshowninfIG3.Theredlighton
thechargerstandwillilluminate,indicatingthatthebatteryis
charging.

• Theredlightwillgooffafterchargingiscomplete.
• Batteriesmaybecomewarmwhilecharging.Thisisnormal.
• Ifbatteryishotaftercontinuoususeinthetool,allowittocool

downtoroomtemperaturebeforecharging.Thiswillextendthe
lifeofyourbatteries.

NOTE:

Ittakesapproximately3-5hourstochargeupacompletelydischargedbattery.

WArNING: 

Always disconnect the battery pack from the tool or place the switch 

in the locked or off position before any assembly, adjustments or changing accessories.

TRIGGER SWITCH ACTION

• Turnthedrillonbydepressingthetriggerswitch(4-fIG1).
• Depressingtheswitchfurtherwillproducemorespeedandtorque.
• usethereversingswitch(5-fIG1)tochangethedirectionofrotationofthedrill.
• Thereversingswitchhasthreepositions:forward,Reverse,andOff(middle).
• Alwayschecktherotationbeforebeginningyourwork.

TWO-SPEED GEAR SWITCH (FIG 4)

• Slidethespeedgearswitch(A)tochoosebetweenposition1for

highspeedrange(0-1,300RPM)andposition2forlowspeed
range(0-350RPM).

• Thelowspeedrangehasmorepowerandtorque.usethelow

speedrangeforhighpowerandtorqueapplications.

• Thehighspeedrangeisforfastdrillingordrivingapplications.

LED WORK LIGHT

Yourtoolhasabuilt-inLeDworklight(6-fIG1)toilluminate
theworkarea.Whenyouturnonthetool,theworklightwill
automaticallyturnon.

BATTERY POWER INDICATOR

Yourtoolhasabuilt-inbatterypowerindictor(8-fIG1)rightabovethetriggerswitch.Ithasthreecoloredlights-
Green,YellowandRed.Depressthetriggerswitchslightlytocheckthebatterypowerlevel.Whenallthreelights

illuminate

,itindicatesthebatteryisatfullpower.Thebatteryisathalffullpowerwhenonlytheyellowand

redlights

illuminate.

ELECTRIC BRAKE

Thisdrillisequippedwithanelectricbrake.Likethetorquesettings,anelectricbrakeprovidesyouwithanother
elementofcontrolduringvariousoperations.Ifthetoolconsistentlyfailstoquicklystopaftertriggerswitch
release,haveaqualifiedservicemanexaminethetool.

CHUCK (FIG 5)

• Yourdrillisequippedwithasinglesleevekeylesschuck(1),so

youcanquicklychangebitswithnoextratoolsrequired.

• To install bits, place the reversing switch in the Off (middle)

position.Rotatethechuckbodycounter-clockwisetoopenthe
chuckjaws(2)toapointwheretheopeningisslightlylarger
thanthebitsizeyouintendtouse.Insertthebit.Tightenthe
chuckjawsbyrotatingthechuckbodyclockwisetosecurethe
bitinplace.

NOTE: 

Alwaysmakesurethatbitsareseatedfirmlybetween

the chuck jaws. Never attempt to operate a bit that is wobbly,
unstable,orbroken.
• Toremovebits,placethereversingswitchintheOff(middle)

position. Loosen the chuck jaws by rotating the chuck body
counter-clockwise.Removethebit.

WArNING:

Make sure the drill bit is inserted straight into the chuck jaws. Do 

not insert the drill bit into the chuck jaws at an angle and tighten. This could cause the 
drill bit to be thrown from the drill, resulting in possible serious personal injury. 

CLUTCH (TORQUE) SETTINGS

• Duringscrewdrivingapplications,youcanadjustthemaximumtorquethatthedrillwillproduce.
• Thisfeaturecanbeusedtopreventthestrippingandbreakingofscrews,ortosetaseriesofscrewstoa

depththatfitsyourproject.

• Settheclutchring(2-fIG1)tosettingsfrom1(lightest)to22(heaviest).Setting22( )isdirectdrive

(torqueisnotlimited)andusedprimarilyfordrillingoperations.

• Ingeneral,youwillfindthelowersettingsmoreusefulwithsmallerscrewsandthehighersettingsmore

usefulforlargerscrews.

1.Clampyourworkpiece.
2.Drillpilotholesforlargerscrewsorwhendrivingscrewsintohardwoods.
3.exertenoughpressuretostartthescrewandkeepitturning.Donotforcethescrew.Letthetooldothework.
4.useaspeedthatwillnotstripthescrewheadorbreakthescrew.Maintainyourbalance.

GENERAL DRILLING

1.Clampyourworkpiece.usetorquesetting22( )thenexertenoughpressuretostartthedrillbitandkeep

drilling.Donotforceorstallthebit.Don’tbendortwistthebit.Letthetoolandthedrillbitdothework.

2.Maintainyourbalanceandbepreparedforbindingandforbitbreakthrough.
