When using an electrical appliance,
basic safety precautions should always be
followed, including the following:

01. Important: read all instructions.
02. This appliance is not intended to be operated
by means of an external timer or separate
      remote-control system.
03. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles
      or knobs.
04. To protect against electrical shock do not
immerse cord, plug or the toaster itself in
water or any other liquid. See instructions
      for cleaning on page 6.
05. Close supervision is necessary when any
appliance is used by or near children.
06. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before
cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or
      taking off parts.
07. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged
cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions
or has been damaged in any manner. Contact
3 Squares customer support for examination,
      repair or adjustment.

08. The use of accessory attachments not
recommended by 3 Squares may cause injuries.
09. Do not use outdoors.
10. Do not let cord hang over the edge of the table
or countertop or to touch hot surfaces.
11. Do not place toaster on or near a hot gas or
electric burner or in a heated oven.
12. Do not use this toaster for other than its
       intended use.
13. Oversized foods, metal/foil packages or
utensils must not be inserted in the toaster, as
they may involve a risk of fire or electric shock.
14. A fire may occur if the toaster is covered or
      touching flammable material, including
curtains, drapes, walls, and the like, when in
operation. Supervise the appliance when in use.
15. To avoid the possibility of fire, do not leave the
      toaster unattended during use.
16. To disconnect, turn any control to “OFF,” then
remove the plug from wall outlet.
17. Do not attempt to dislodge food while the
      toaster is plugged in.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

Short Cord Instructions

A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risks resulting from becoming entangled in or
tripping over a longer cord. Longer extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in
their use.

If a long extension cord is used, the marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as
great as the electrical rating of the appliance, and the longer cord should be arranged so that it will not
drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

Polarized Plug

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will
fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still
does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.

01. Read all instructions and
      important safeguards.

02. Remove all packaging materials and
check that all items have been
      received in good condition.

03. Tear up all plastic bags. They can
      pose a risk to children.

04. Although measures are taken
      during the manufacturing process
to reduce them, the toaster may
emit odors during first use. To
help this, it is recommended to
operate the toaster through a toasting
cycle without bread before first use.
Follow the instructions in “To Toast”
on page 6. Allow the toaster to cool
      before using.

What do those four buttons do?
Your 3 Squares Toaster comes
equipped with four functions for a variety
of toasting options. To use any of these,
just press down on the corresponding
button after pressing down on the
toasting lever.

Defrost
Defrosts then toasts frozen bread,
waffles, French toast, pancakes and
more. Quick, easy and tasty!

What setting should you use?

• Settings 1-2
Best for refrigerated breads and thin
   frozen foods (like pancakes).

• Settings 3-4
   Frozen toaster pastries, frozen waffles,
   French toast and refrigerated bagels.

• Settings 5-6
   Frozen bagels and frozen
   thick-cut breads.

Bagel
Toasts the inside of the bagel while
warming the outside. Great for English
muffins and thicker bread slices too!

Make sure bagel slices are placed
into the toaster with the cut sides
facing out. Otherwise, you’ll get
toasted outsides and warm insides…
and nobody wants that.

Reheat
Toast gone cold?

Reheat will warm it back up without
making it darker.

Cancel
Need to stop in a hurry?

Hit cancel to stop toasting at any time.

Always allow the toaster to cool
completely before cleaning.

01. Unplug the toaster before cleaning.

02. Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a
clean, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
       Do not use abrasive cleaners.

03. To remove crumbs, slide out the
crumb tray from the back of the
      toaster and discard crumbs. Wipe
the crumb tray clean. When clean,
slide the crumb tray back in to place.
Never operate the toaster without the
      crumb tray in place.

• To remove any crumbs or
pieces of bread that may be
caught in the toaster, turn the

toaster upside down and shake gently.
Never insert your hand or a sharp
instrument in to the toasting slots, this
could damage the toaster or cause a
   safety hazard.

• Never wrap the power cord around the
   outside of the toaster.

• Any other servicing should be
   performed by an authorized service
   representative. Contact 3 Squares
   support for help.
